Seventeen years after Marky Mark stripped down to his undies and became a household name as the spokesmodel for Calvin Klein underwear, Fox News is reporting that Twilight star Kellan Lutz has signed on to re-create that ad campaign.
“The executives have a plan to model the ads very similarly after the famous Mark Wahlberg campaign in the ’90s," a source told Fox. "They want to re-create the look of the hugely successful ads, and who is better than Kellan Lutz to fill out those little underwear?”
The 1992 campaign was shot by famed gay photographer Herb Ritts, who died in 2002 of complications from AIDS. His last photo shoot was for Out magazine.
No word yet on who will be shooting Lutz’s spread.
