Joan Rivers and her razor-tongued fashion commentary will return to E! in January for a pair of Fashion Police specials.
Rivers, who made a late-life second career out of slamming celebs and their fashion on the red carpet, left the network in 2004 after E! failed to renew her contract. She filled a similar role on the TV Guide Channel through 2007.
“Joan is a true entertainment icon and one of the funniest people in Hollywood," E! programming exec vice president Lisa Berger said. "We are extremely excited to have her back at E!"
Rivers’s daughter and former on-camera sparring partner, Melissa, will produce the specials. The comic is said to be negotiating similar specials for the Grammys at the end of January and the Oscars in March.
