Vermont state representative Rick Hube (Hugh-bee), one of only five Republicans to vote for marriage equality in the state earlier this year, has died. He was 62.
House GOP leader Patti Komline told the Associated Press on Wednesday that she spoke to Hube, who was at his sister’s home in Florida, on the phone on Monday shortly before he went to the hospital complaining of a pain in his leg. He later died of an aortic aneurysm.
