Officials at New Zealand's Royal Albatross Centre are seeking name suggestions for a chick that will be hatched by a pair of lesbian royal albatrosses.
The chick is expected to hatch this month, according to Gay New Zealand. This is the third female albatross pairing recorded in the albatross colony, known as the only mainland albatross breeding colony in the world.
Suggestions for names can be passed along to Heather Mollins at Tourism Dunedin (hmollins@tourismdunedin.co.nz). Names will be passed on to the Royal Albatross Centre for consideration.
