An hour of testimony regarding the military's gay ban has been added to a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on the Department of Defense
budget for Fiscal Year 2011.
The hearing, scheduled for February 2, is separate from a hearing expected to take place in early February before the committee that will focus specifically on "don't ask, don't tell," which Michigan senator Carl Levin is working to coordinate.
According to an announcement released by Levin's office Thursday, Defense secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Adm. Michael Mullen will deliver testimony during the February 2 hearing.
