Autopsy results have found that heiress Casey Johnson died of natural causes. Sources connected with the autopsy report have confirmed to TMZ that Johnson wasn’t taking care of her diabetes and was failing to take her medicine, including insulin shots.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has listed her official cause of death as "diabetic ketoacidosis," a technical term for lack of insulin, which often leads to a diabetic coma.
According to TMZ, Johnson had been hospitalized twice for diabetic comas before her death.
At the time of her death, Johnson had told reporters she and girlfriend Tila Tequila were engaged. Since Johnson's death, Tequila has told the press she is planning to sue for custody of Johnson’s 3-year-old adopted daughter, Ava.
