A committee in the New Hampshire house recommended Tuesday that two measures threatening the state’s new marriage equality law be killed.
According to WMUR-TV, “One bill called for the repeal of the same-sex marriage law, while the other called for a public vote on the matter. By a margin of 2-1, members of the house judiciary committee voted to kill both measures.”
The marriage equality law took effect in New Hampshire January 1.
