The New York Daily News is reporting that Assemblyman Daniel
O’Donnell is considering a run for Congress should Rep. Charlie Rangel
decide not to run for reelection in the fall.
“I certainly like being a legislator, I think I'm good at being a legislator; if a vacancy occurs in the congressional district where I live, I will certainly consider it," O’Donnell told the Daily News Wednesday.
The brother of Rosie O’Donnell, if elected, he would be the first openly gay member of the state's congressional delegation.
