A large group of supportive clergy members managed to drown out protesters from Fred Phelps’s Westboro Baptist Church Wednesday as the city began issuing the first marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Members of the clergy joined with LGBT activists in a round of “This Little Light of Mine” to drown out the opposition.
