Guernsey may lower the age of consent for gay men later this month in an effort to equalize the laws for straight and gay people in the British Crown Dependency in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy.
According to the BBC, at the present time in Guernsey, “sex between two men is illegal under the age of 18, but between a man and a woman is legal from the age of 16.”
The proposed changes would also eliminate a law that bans sex between more than two men at the same time.
Guernsey lowered the age of consent for gay men from 21 to 18 in 2007.
