A protest against the Catholic Church’s reported protection of priests who are known pedophiles will take place in New York this weekend and is being organized via a Facebook page. The rally is scheduled this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
This comes as The New York Times reports that the Vatican has reaffirmed its position on Friday that the future Pope Benedict XVI “had no knowledge” of a decision to allow a known pedophile priest to resume pastoral duties when he was archbishop in Munich in 1980.
