More Americans said they would support an openly gay quarterback in the Super Bowl than an openly gay commander in chief, according to new poll results released on Monday.
Fifty percent of respondents said they would support an openly gay president, while 44% said they would oppose, according to the 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll.
Fifty-five percent said they were comfortable with an openly gay U.S. Supreme Court justice, and 56% said they would support a gay Secretary of State.
With sports figures, 62% said they would root for a gay Super Bowl quarterback, and 61% would support a gay baseball commissioner.
