At least 25 gay rights advocates protested Wednesday at Mississippi College in
Clinton, Miss. The protesters are in the midst ofthe Soulforce Q Equality Ride, a bus trip to 15 colleges they say discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students.
"We've engaged in conversation with the administration about how to make Mississippi College more inclusive," Equality Ride spokesman Jason Conner said. "Unfortunately, they haven't allowed us on campus to have dialogue with students. So we're here on a vigil line, letting students come down and talk to us, and we've been very successful throughout the day and have had a lot of students come talk to us."
The group also stopped at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss. These two stops were the eighth and ninth on their tour, The Clinton News reported.
