Ricky Martin Cast in

Ricky Martin has nabbed the role of Che in an upcoming Broadway revival of Evita.

Martin, who came out in March, previously appeared on the Great White Way as Marius in Les Miserables. The 2012 Evita revival will star Elena Roger in the title role of the Argentinian first lady. The role of Juan Peron has not yet been cast.

"Ricky was at the top of our wish list and we sort of went after him," producer Hal Luftig told the Los Angeles Times.

Martin is currently preparing for a fall tour.
