Madonna: Desperate Italian Housewife

More images from the Madonna-led winter 2011 women's wear campaign for Dolce & Gabbana have surfaced with the star appearing like a weary yet beautiful Italian housewife.

D&G online magazine Swide has released a full slide show of the campaign: Madonna is seen crying, washing dishes, eating pasta, and putting on makeup. The campaign was shot in a Manhattan convent this winter by Steven Klein and was inspired by Italian films of the 1950s and '60s.

Swide describes the campaign: "This winter's Dolce & Gabbana women's wear advertising campaign is like a
family photo album where dignity, beauty find all their ways of
expression: an
impromptu tango in the living room, a heartfelt laughter luminescent in
form,
faces, serious, proud."
