The attorney for Lindsay Lohan has resigned, as the troubled bisexual starlet’s mother, Dina, gives an exclusive interview saying she’s disappointed in the system. Earlier this week Judge Marsha Revel sentenced Lohan to 90 days in jail followed by 90 days in a rehab facility following violation of her parole after her 2007 DUI arrest, despite a passionate argument from attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, who quit the case yesterday.
"I think it's time we get another attorney just to see it from another light and do damage control," Dina Lohan tells Entertainment Tonight in an exclusive interview excerpted on website PopEater. Dina says of her daughter, "She's a fighter, and until the final result — we're not giving up."
"It's very difficult, we're not sleeping well, we're not functioning,” she adds. “We cry a lot and we hug a lot. [Lindsay's] petrified, we all are. We're angry. We're disappointed in the system."
The downward spiral of Lohan, once a promising actress in hit films such as Mean Girls, has fascinated much of the nation. A live stream of the court trial on website TMZ.com drew a record 2.3 million viewers.
