The issue of Veronica introducing Riverdale High
School's first gay character has sold out its first print run, an
unprecedented event for titles under the Archie Comics brand.
The company will print a limited edition of Veronica number 202 featuring a remastered variant cover, where Kevin Keller first appears as the new boy in town.
“We never thought Kevin Keller would become so hot so fast!” Archie Comicsco-CEO Jon Goldwater said in a press release.
The limited edition comics will be available in stores October 6 and at the 2010 New York Comic Con October 8-10. Kevin's next appearance will be in Veronica issues 204 and 205.
