Lesbians Lead Oscar Race

Annette Bening and Julianne Moore, who play a crisis-facing lesbian couple in The Kids Are All Right, and Natalie Portman, as an unstable ballerina who has a possible same-sex hookup with her rival in Black Swan, are considered the front-runners for the best actress Academy Award, according to Entertainment Weekly. Dave Karger, one of the industry's most reliable awards pundits, names the three women as the best bets to receive Oscar nominations when they're announced in January.
