The Human Rights Campaign is moving its San Francisco Action Center to the site of the former Castro Camera, where Harvey Milk worked and launched his political and activism careers.
The new HRC center will have a soft opening at 575 Castro St. in January, according to the San Francisco Examiner, and then will have a grand opening in May, in conjunction with Harvey Milk Day festivities.
“It is Harvey Milk’s vision of hope that continues to inspire the work that we do at the Human Rights Campaign,” says HRC president Joe Solmonese. “We are the beneficiaries of his groundbreaking activism and are honored to be a part of the future that he envisioned.”
