Don't Say Gay, Say Takei

Out actor George Takei has a solution for teachers in Tennessee who could be banned from discussing homosexuality or using the word "gay" in their classrooms. Instead, he suggests, use "Takei" as a substitution.
"For example, you could safely proclaim you're a supporter of Takei marriage. If you're in a more festive mood, you can march in the Takei Pride Parade. Even homophobic slurs don't seem hurtful when someone says 'that is so Takei!'"
State Sen. Stacey Campfield's proposed "Don't Say Gay" bill passed the Tennessee senate Friday with a 20-10 vote, with an amendment was added saying that the ban would only be on prepared classroom lessons and material.
