It doesn't matter how you ask, where you ask, or whether you put sugar on top, Rep. Michele Bachmann isn't answering questions about reparative therapy.
As we've noted, the GOP presidential candidate is dodging tough questions about the suicide rate in her district and on the subject of her husband's Christian counseling clinics, which are found to practice so-called reparative therapy. The latest duck and weave came today at the National Press Club. Bachmann's non sequitur of an answer echoed one she gave to an Illinois journalist who first asked about the clinics.
The Washington Blade asked, "Do you believe reparative therapy can change gay people into being straight?"
Her response, in short: "I am running for the presidency of the United States."
