Ghana AG: Gay Sex Shouldn't Be Illegal

The attorney general and minister for justice for the west African nation of Ghana announced publicly that he didn't think consensual homosexual sex should be criminalized.
Martin Amidu's risky statement was made at a press event last week in Accra.
"It is illegal to invade the privacy of two rightful-thinking adults to obtain evidence for prosecution purpose," Amidu said.
As far as whether sexual relations between members of the same sex would ever be fully legal in Ghana, Amidu said he couldn't imagine it happening in the near future. Read more here.
