Group Seeks Repeal of Kansas Sodomy Law

A gay rights group called the Kansas Equality Coalition is appealing to legislators to remove an unenforced sodomy law from the state’s books.
According to the Associated Press, the law — which makes it a crime for consenting adults of the same gender to engage in sexual activity — was ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2003.
The Kansas coalition is seeking to have the law repealed by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
