Cairo police have arrested a man accused of running a "gay sex network."

Police raided a group of beach cabanas in el-Arish to track the man down. Very few other details were given, Pink News reports.

Men perceived to be gay are often prosecuted under a "debauchery" law, according to a 2010 report by Amnesty International. That year 10 men were arrested in Cairo and prosecuted for having consensual sex.
