Down Under Actor Tim Campbell Comes Out

Tim Campbell, a former cast member of Australia's popular TV drama series Home and Away, opened up about his homosexuality in response to rumors that he was dating former Australian Idol contestant Anthony Callea.  

Campbell said he is gay, as is Callea, but for now the two are simply friends, reported The Advertiser, an Australian newspaper. They have known each other for 11 years, having met while performing together in the musical Rent. Campbell is currently rehearsing to play Johnny O'Keefe in the musical Shout and has hosted National Bingo Night. He was also a competitor on the Aussie version of Dancing With the Stars.
