Boxer Penalized for Kissing Opponent

A boxing match at a casino just outside of San Diego got touchy-feely over the weekend when one boxer went in for a punch -- and wound up kissing his opponent.

Jesse Vargas faced off in the ring against Trenton Titsworth in a junior welterweight bout at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif. Cameras captured Vargas kissing Titsworth on the neck during the fight, a move that cost him two points.

The fight was filmed for the HBO series Boxing After Dark.

Despite being docked two points, Vargas won the fight 39-34. (The Advocate)

Can't you guys get anything right? It was Titsworth who had two points deducted for kissing Vargas who promptly belted him as they were being disengaged from the clinch by the referee - who then deducted a point from Vargas for an illegal punch.

What a screwed up world, a kiss on the neck cost 2 points, and Mike Tyson bites ear off Evan Hollifield and has no points deducted.
