Senate Bill 11, an act to establish civil unions, is scheduled for a full vote in the Democrat-controlled Senate on Monday, at which point it will move to the House, also controlled by Democrats. Civil unions could become law as early as May 1.
The Uniting American Families Act was once again introduced in the House this session and will soon return in the Senate.
