San Francisco Lesbian and Gay Film Festival closes

Awards were distributed as the 25th annual San Francisco Lesbian and Gay Film Festival came to a close over the weekend. According to indieWIRE.com, the First Feature Award went to John Cameron Mitchell for his rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which will be opening in selected markets next month. The Audience Awards went to Iron Ladies, the Thai comedy about a queer cross-dressing volleyball team, as best feature; Tom Shepard’s look at the antigay policies of the Boy Scouts of America, Scout’s Honor, as best documentary; and Melissa Regan’s No Dumb Questions as best short.
