The release of the rap album Misunderstood by Philadelphia 76er Allen Iverson, recording under the name Jewelz, has been delayed while the basketball player returns to the studio to record more tracks, according to Launch.com. The album was initially supposed to be released in February, but it was decided that the release date should be pushed back until after the basketball season; Universal Records now has no firm date. Iversons release last October of the single 40 Bars garnered a fair share of notoriety for its unflattering references to gays, women, and blacks, which prompted a meeting with NBA commissioner David Stern. After the meeting Iverson promised that there wont be any gay bashing or women bashing in the [upcoming] album. He insists, however, that the current recording sessions are not for the purpose of changing the already recorded lyrics.
