According to New York Post columnist Liz Smith, there will be a special Guggenheim benefit party for gay architect Philip Johnson at the Center for Architecture in celebration of his 95th birthday on Thursday. Johnson will be presented with 10 four-foot-high ice sculptures of his most famous buildings. He will be accompanied by the 76-year-old Gerald Hines, to whom Smith puckishly refers as Johnsons youthful collaborator. For information on attending the benefit, call (212) 683-0023, ext. 16.
