Out director Joel Schumacher (Tigerland) is in negotiations to direct an English-language remake of the Swedish-Norwegian thriller Sleepwalker, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film tells the story of a man whose wife and children disappear in the middle of the night; after their disappearance, the man begins to question his own sanity and begins to wonder if he may have unknowingly committed a brutal crime. The script for the remake is written by Nicholas Kazan (Reversal of Fortune). Schumacher is expected to take on this project after he directs Chasing the Dragon: The Veronica Guerin Story; completed Schumacher films that will be released soon include Phone Booth, reuniting him with his Tigerland star Colin Farrell, and Bad Company, starring Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock.
