BBC News reports that an Italian researcher claims to have found a death certificate for famed bisexual artist Caravaggio. Giuseppe La Fauci, an architect and Caravaggio enthusiast, says he found the alleged death certificate in an ancient church record book and that the paper shows the artist died in 1610. (Previously, the precise time and cause of Caravaggio's death has been a mystery to historians.) The document is said to read, "On July 18, 1609, in the S Maria Asuiliatrice hospital, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, painter, died of illness. Due to a difference in the calendar at that time, that would put his death at July 18, 1610.
