Nine years after the Pulitzer Prize-winning plays debuted on Broadway, Tony Kushner's two-part Angels in America is headed for HBO, reports syndicated columnist Liz Smith. Director Mike Nichols, hot off his HBO adaptation of Margaret Edson's Wit, will direct the six-hour miniseries, with a cast of luminaries including Al Pacino (as Roy Cohn), Meryl Streep (as Hannah), Emma Thompson (as the angel), and Jeffrey Wright (as Belize). Shooting begins in April.
