Susan Sontag has sold her literary archive to the University of California, Los Angeles, Library for a reported $1.1 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The archive is said to contain essays, film scripts, diaries, and still photographs that document the creation of four foreign art films that Sontag wrote and directed from 1969 to 1983. "I go through long periods when I don't make any money," said the author, whose partner, photographer Annie Leibovitz, recently gave birth to their daughter. "This is something that will support me for a couple of years."
