A new biography of Joan Crawford says the legendary movie star was sexually interested in both men and women, according to the New York Post's Page Six column. While Lawrence J. Quirk and William Schoell's Joan Crawford: The Essential Biography, due later in September from the University Press of Kentucky, discusses her affairs with such famous leading men as Clark Gable and Jimmy Stewart, the book also notes that Crawford advised other women to take up lesbianism, noting, "At least you can't get pregnant."
