Variety reports that shooting will begin in March on Kinsey, out writer-director Bill Condon's (Gods and Monsters) film biography of sex researcher Alfred Kinsey. Condon has spent the last year writing the screenplay, inspired by a Kinsey biography he was given by producer Gail Mutrux, and is currently negotiating with potential cast members Liam Neeson (as Kinsey), Laura Linney (as his wife), Sir Ian McKellen, and Chris O'Donnell. "Kinsey is an incredibly complex character: a scientist who spent 20 years as a biologist and had one brilliant but simple idea, which is still radical today--that no one person's sexuality is the same as another's and that we are all tortured by what is sexually normal," says Condon. The film will shoot in Toronto and on the East Coast.
