The Tony-winning Broadway musical Urinetown is coming to the big screen, courtesy of Killer Films, according to Variety. Killer is run by out producer Christine Vachon and her production partner, Pam Koffler. The company, whose recent credits include Far From Heaven, One Hour Photo, and The Safety of Objects, has hired the show's composer-lyricist, Mark Hollman, and book writer-lyricist, Greg Kotis, to write a draft of the screenplay. Killer Films has a busy slate, including the biopic Simply Halston, to be directed by Dan Minahan (Series 7: The Contenders); Robert Altman's ballet ensemble film The Company; a film adaptation of A Home at the End of the World, from the novel by Michael Cunningham (The Hours), which will star Colin Farrell; and Savage Grace, a true story about a socialite murder that will star Julianne Moore and will return Swoon director Tom Kalin to the director's chair after a decade-long absence.
