PBS station promotes gay exec

KCET, West Coast flagship station of the Public Broadcasting Service, has announced that Bohdan Zachary, a former contributor to The Advocate, has been promoted to the position of executive producer of broadcast and pledge scheduling. The position expands his current job responsibilities to include building the broadcast schedule for the station's regular service as well as for its fund-raising periods. Zachary, who is gay, has been with the station for almost six years, serving as executive producer of marketing productions and several local and national specials and series.
