Among the news to come out of Thursday's announcement of Fox's fall schedule was a new premiere date for Wonder Falls, a quirky new comedy-fantasy from openly gay creators Todd Holland (Malcolm in the Middle) and Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me, Star Trek Voyager). While the network's original plans for the show had it possibly airing as early as August, Wonder Falls will now make its debut in January 2004, inheriting the time slot on Monday nights from the second season of Joe Millionaire. (No word from the network about how they plan to fool more women into falling in love with a penniless pseudo-millionaire, but the show's producers are at least bringing back the butler from the original show.) Insiders say the move will benefit Wonder Falls, as Fox will be able to tie it in to the anticipated large audiences for the third go-around of American Idol.
