Russian duo Tatu, known for cultivating a lesbian image, won't be shooting their new video in central Tokyo this weekend after the city's Metropolitan Police Department said that the street events "are feared to cause confusion," reports Agence France-Presse. The group had hoped to film their video in the popular shopping districts of Akihabara and Ginza with hundreds of voluntary participants. "The pedestrians' paradise is a place for people to walk freely and not for staging an event," a traffic regulation official told Jiji Press news agency. "We cannot give permission where there is the possibility of confusion." Tatu were detained in May in Moscow's Red Square for shooting a video without a permit.
