Creepy teasers of the second season of co-creator Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story have premiered and indicate the sophomore run of the series may be even more chilling than the first.

Season one of the FX horror hit received a staggering 17 Emmy nominations and fan favorite Jessica Lange is widely considered a shoo-in to take home the best supporting actress in a miniseries trophy. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter Lange chatted about the new self-contained series, which is set to premiere in late October and in which she will portray a nun who runs an east coast insane asylum in the 1960s. "She’s very different," Lange says when asked how her new role compares to Constance, her character from the previous season. "She’s also a survivor. I’m not even sure where we’re going with her, but there are certain elements of their history that are definitely shared."

Besides Lange, season 2 officially titled American Horror Story: Asylum will star  Zachary Quinto, Adam Levine, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, James Cromwell, Chloe Sevigny, and Joseph Fiennes.

In "Dropping," a nun, possibly Lange, is dumping the contents of two buckets in a field. Is she feeding something that lives in the nearby woods or covering up some crime in the asylum? Are the buckets filled with severed body parts? In the second, titled "Blue Coat," viewers are actually allowed a peek inside the asylum, where a nun dressed in competely in white and with white makeup on her face hangs a blue coat on the wall before offering a menacing glance at the camera.
