Here, on this last day before he becomes Mr. Ratzinger again, we note the exit of the most powerful and influential critic of LGBT people in the world. The man who has decried that homosexuality threatens the very existence of humankind. Here are a few suggestions for some show-stopping numbers to put some musical punctuation of a reign of hate.

Liza Minnelli, "Mein Herr," Cabaret

"You have to understand the way I am,
Mein Herr.
A tiger is a tiger, not a lamb.
Mein Herr.
You'll never turn the vinegar to jam,
Mein Herr.
So I do...
What I do...
When I'm through...
Then I'm through...
And I'm through...
Toodle-oo!"

Barbra Streisand / Donna Summer, "No More Tears" (Enough is Enough) (Extended Version)

"Enough is enough is enough
I can't go on, I can't go on, no more no
enough is enough is enough
I want him out, I want him out that door now."

Madonna, "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," Evita

"Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you.
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true."

Gloria Gaynor, "Never Can Say Goodbye"

"I keep thinkin' that our problems
Soon are all gonna work out
But there's that same unhappy feeling and there's that anguish, there's that doubt."

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert -"I Will Survive" and "We Belong"
with Bette Midler on the Today show

"But then I spent so many nights thinking, how you did me wrong
And I grew strong and I learned how to get along."

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert's Will Swenson (Tick/Mitzi), Nick Adams (Adam/Felicia) & Tony Sheldon (Bernadette) along with Diva's Jacqueline B. Arnold, Anastacia McCleskey and Ashley Spencer and the rest of the company perform "I Will Survive"  and "We Belong" on The Today Show. Also includes interviews with Priscilla producer Bette Midler.

Klaus Nomi, "You Don't Own Me"

"You don't own me, I'm not just one of your many toys
You don't own me, don't say I can't go with other boys."
