Tarence Mitchell (pictured), an 18-year-old football captain at Bloomfield High School in northern Connecticut, faced a judge on Friday after being arrested for stabbing his on-again, off-again boyfriend to death.
Ronald Taylor, Jr. was stabbed five times with a steak knife in what Mitchell initially said was an attack involving two other men. Mitchell later confessed to the crime, but says Taylor flew into a violent rage when he tried to cut things off with him recently.
According to police reports and court documents, Taylor provided the teen with marijuana and alcohol for the past two years. Their relationship turned sexual and Taylor allegedly became increasingly jealous and threatening toward his younger lover. Taylor tried to out Mitchell on social media, as well.
Both families are understandably distraught. Mitchell is currently being held on $1 million bond. Read more here and watch a video report below.
