Hats in buildings, pajamas in public, and cross-dressing of any kind
have been banned at the all male, traditionally black Morehouse
College in Atlanta -- the latter rule an attempt to control what school officials say is
a small minority among the private college's 2,700-member student body who are living a "gay lifestyle."

"We are talking about five students who are living a gay lifestyle that is leading them to dress a way we do not expect in Morehouse men," Dr. William Bynum, vice president for Student Services, told CNN.

Bynum says school officials talked to the campus’s gay student group before moving forward with the new dress code and, “of the 27 people in the room, only three were against it."
