3 Suspects in Bronx Attack Released

Three people arrested in connection with an October 3 antigay hate crime against two teenagers and two adult men in the Bronx, N.Y., were released Tuesday because of insufficient evidence.  

Brian Cepeda, Bryan Almonte, and Steven Carabello, all 17,
had been charged in connection with what authorities said was gang-related
imprisonment, beating, and sodomizing of the victims. The string of attacks,
officials say, was triggered when members of the gang, called the Latin King
Goonies, learned that an aspiring member is gay.
