Hundreds of people gathered at the Idaho statehouse in Boise Tuesday to demand that state legislators ensure that LGBT people are added to existing antidiscrimination policies.

The demonstrators, whose movement is known as Add the Words, "wrapped" the capitol to amplify their message. The action came at the end of the workday, just as members of the legislature left the building to go home.

Idaho Republican lawmakers have already declined to have a hearing regarding the proposed changes for several years, according to television station KTVB.

Earlier this month, 23 Add The Words protesters were arrested for blocking all four entrances to Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter's office.
