The protest that sent Mississippi couples into a city clerk's office last week to ask for marriage licenses arrived elsewhere in the South on Wednesday. This time, a Tennessee couple was turned away.

"We knew, going into the process, that it was going to be denied. But it meant a lot to us to illustrate and show in the books the discrimination," said Ramie Wolfe, according to a report by WBIR. He applied with his partner, Matthew Griffin, as part of the "We Do" campaign from the the Campaign for Southern Equality.

The campaign travels next to South Carolina and North Carolina, where it made a big push for this kind of protest around Amendment One.
