Facebook administrators on Tuesday removed a page dedicated to the practice of consensual unprotected sex between two men, known as barebacking, reports Huffington Post. The page reportedly had more than 20,000 "likes."

Facebook confirmed that the page had been taken down, but did not provide Huff Post with an explanation as to why. Huff Post notes that Facebook's community standards prohibit nudity, underage pornographic content and promotion of self-harm, but the barebacking page did not appear to violate any of those restrictions.

Queerty notes that some members were using the page to hook up with other men interested in having unprotected sex, and that page moderators regularly posted images of a "Featured Bareback Member" who had submitted a sultry photo to the be shared with the the group.

The Bareback page was created in 2011, but just removed from Facebook this week, according to Huff Post
