Following a recent attack on two gay men in Austin, Tex., dozens marched on Saturday to protest bias-motivated crimes.
Andrew Oppleman and Nick Soret were part of the protest; the friends were beaten in downtown Austin by an unknown man in late September. A recently-released surveillance video captured the bloody assault.
"Whenever I see the video my heart breaks again and again and again," Oppleman told KHOU.
Saturday's protest included a march from City Hall to the State Capitol. Speaking to the crowd assembled at the Capitol, Soret spoke to his attacker: ""I promise you, they will find you."
