Comic actress Jane Lynch launched her gig as roast master for Roseanne Barr with some choice words for controversial fast food franchise Chick-fil-A, reports The Wrap.
After taking the stage, Lynch scanned the room, filled with such comedy luminaries as Carrie Fisher, Ellen Barkin, and Katey Sagal. "This show is serving up more old spoiled hens than a Chick-Fil-A. Oh, that reminds me ... fuck Chick-Fil-A," she said. Lynch has been married to Lara Embry, a psychologist, since 2010.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was the participation of Barr's ex-husband Tom Arnold. “This is the first time Rosie and I have been in the same room together in 18 years,” Arnold said when he spoke about his ex-wife.
Barr has also been a critic of Chick-fil-A due to the company's position against marriage equality. Last month she tweeted that people who eat there deserve the cancer they will get from "eating antibiotic filled tortured chickens 4Christ." After some took the always outspoken comic to task for such a strong remark, she apologized. “Retreading my tweet I realize that I used the wrong word -- I shouldn’t have used the word deserves. I shouldn’t have used the word deserves in my tweet and I apologize,” she later wrote.
Comedy Central's Roast of Roseanne will premiere Sunday. Watch a clip of Lynch below.
